For the Daughter of the Plains,
I hope to find her courage,
Somewhere inside myself,
Buried deep down within my bones.

The Fair Lady of the Plains
Albeit windswept, sun-dretched, drought-stricken,
Took her blessings where they were,
Rejoicing in small comforts.

She become one with the land,
Resting in the arms of the prairies and
Allowing the plains to cradle her bones,
While her spirit soared ahead,
Always vigilant,
Watching over me,
Returning each Spring,
Who I was,
Who I am,
Who I will be.
